The Different Breeds Of Dogs

American Kennel Club recognizes 150 breeds of dogs. There are seven different groups where the dog can belong. They are assigned to one of the groups on the basis of what the breed of dog was originally conceived. There is also a diverse group, if the dog does not fall within one of the Sept. seven different groups of dogs are as follows. The first is the team. These dogs were developed to work with people who hunt birds. A Labrador Retriever their place in this group. Labs can also be useful as guide dogs and search and rescue. The second group is the group of hunting dog. These dogs were developed to hunt by smell and sight. This group includes the Whippet, which is the fastest domestic animal of their size. They can operate up to 35 mph. The third is the group, which includes the St. Bernard. They are known for hundreds of years for its rescue work in the Alps. The other dogs in this group is useful for grazing or surveillance. The fourth group is the terrier group, first for hunting vermin. The Terrier in Australia, one of the smallest terrier, is a part of this group. They were developed to work side by side with the Australian aid to the pioneers of the development or chasing sheep before the invaders. The fifth group is the group of toys, companions. A Japanese Chin is a good example. They like to play, display, and spend a lot of time trying to maintain a clean and tidy. The sixth group is the non-sporting group, which typically do not perform tasks that were originally designed. A good example would be the American Eskimo dog. These dogs are sometimes used in circus at the beginning of the century. The seventh group is the group of livestock, which is intended to be used in working with livestock. The German shepherd is in this group. They are not only valuable for the supply of livestock, but also are good companions for humans.
